Christmas kits

The Little Bramble Co's Christmas Kits began as fun gifts for my many nieces and nephews.

Each year I would challenge myself with the brief; to design a kit for children aged from 3-15 years old alike, to easily express their creativity, without having to spend a fortune.

Developed with parents in mind; the kits create less mess and less waste as they include everything you need for the project. The kits include easy to follow instructions, which can be a starting guide for older children to explore their individual creative style.

how it all began...

Hello, I’m Liz, The creative mind behind the The Little Bramble Co.

My obsession with stationery and organisation can be traced back to primary school. I would often admire the classroom display boards and the neat colour coded stationery pots on each table. My love for paper and dreams of creating stationery bloomed into something more than a concept when co-planning my own wedding in 2021/2022. I adored every aspect of the process from designing to making, and sourcing supplies for our wedding stationery. I even learned new skills like calligraphy. I spent hours and hours refining ideas, executing all the little details and adding so many personal touches.

I’ve taken the leap to turn my passion projects into a creative business venture and can't wait to share my progress with you.

I believe your stationery tells your love story, it gives your guests a glimpse into your journey as a couple and the moments that led you both to this celebration. It should reflect your personalities and passions in every aspect.

Autumn is by far my husband's and my favourite time of the year, we love going for dog walks with our beagle on the moor in the crisp air, taking in the sights of burnt oranges and earthy tones of the landscape. But most of all we love to cuddle up after a long walk in nature with a handmade mug full of coffee as we are kind of coffee addicts. Naturally when coming up with inspiration and a colour scheme for our wedding day it all just clicked into place. From the hand dyed ribbons in our favourite autumn colours that adorned place-name cards to the table names which were coffee types obviously, the frames displaying our table names also included photographs of us on the moor, and the confetti station had takeaway coffee cups filled with confetti. It was all inspired by coffee and autumn!

I also believe your stationery and event should be a reflection of you both. We had a vision of elegance but it needed to be an elevated version of us not something we’d find uncomfortably formal. Most days in our household start with a good old ‘to-do list’ and top of that list is always ‘wake up’,’ drink coffee’ and ‘write a to-do list’' and everyday we achieve at least three things on our list. This to-do list ritual inspired our Order of the day sign, which we even ticked off as the day went on.

Often being the first thing they receive, your save-the-date and invitational stationery tell your guests what to expect for the day. This information is not just in the wording on your invite, yes the venue and dress code are important clues but the real poetry is in the design of your stationery. The textures of paper, the font, the printing process and the extra details like hand dyed ribbon or thin gold twine and wax seals. These carefully thought-out choices give your guests a feeling of the day to come. I can't wait to be a involved in such an important part of your storytelling and the creative process for your stationery.

You will often find me with my ‘assistant’ Chloe, the perfect companion for crafting, curled up beside me in my home studio. She offers her own ‘relaxing’ soundtrack of snores and grizzles as she gets comfy and dreams of her favourite snacks. I always find her presence in my studio relaxing and life around me inspiring.

Oh the business name, well I spent many many months thinking up ideas but like Goldilocks nothing felt right. Until we were on our mini-moon in Richmond Yorkshire, and ordered another round of ‘Bramble’ cocktails reminiscent of our first drink together as a married couple. That's when the idea (or maybe it was the gin) hit me… The Little Bramble Co.
